I have formulated a handy symbol to express the creative process between composer, performer and listener. The composer, performer and listener each create but each EXPERIENCES creativity in a different way.
Here is my Triangle of Creativity in Music:
The process of musicmaking involves all three functions, each of which is creative but in a different way.
The composer (or songwriter) is the starting point. No one would have any song or music to play if it weren't initially put there by someone. This is both obvious and mysterious.
