Happy New Year! Traditionally, it is a good time to review the past year's activities and plan for the future. This past year, 2006, has been an extremely busy and productive year for Worthgold. Here are some of the highlights:

Both the 'carolworthey.com' and 'worthgold.com' websites were completely rewritten to be database driven dynamic xhtml pages fully w3c standards compliant. This may not mean much to non-techies, but what it means to everyone else is that not only will pages load faster, but new events and announcements can now be posted immediately. Also, all popular browsers are supported and the pages should look identical no matter which browser you choose.

Carol Worthey's dual career has expanded on both fronts: music and art this past year. Look for the cover article in this quarter's IAWM Journal (International Alliance for Women in Music) written by Carol where she discusses the stresses and pleasures of having dual careers. Carol's music was licensed by Barnard College for use combined with a flash video as an online holiday greeting that was emailed to over 30,000 alumni and received a great response. You can view the greeting if you click here (Time: 3:23 Size: 7.2M).

Looking toward the future, there have been numerous requests for Carol's poetry and this year a new 'Poet' page will be added to her site. The scanning and conversion project has been plodding along and it has become clear that the online store will need major changes this year. For the time being, the best way to obtain publications of Carol's work is to contact us directly via the contacts page or by phone.

I would like to thank all those who commented on the website upgrades, your comments, suggestions and help were appreciated.
